Celebrating Excellence in Education

The New Hampshire Excellence in Education Awards aims to acknowledge schools and individuals within New Hampshire who demonstrate high standards of excellence.. The awards, affectionately dubbed "The EDies," shine a spotlight on the remarkable achievements in education across New Hampshire. This celebration is made possible through the combined efforts of various statewide education associations, our committed Board of Directors, and the generous support of sponsors from across the Granite State. It acts as a powerful catalyst, showcasing exceptional public schools, initiatives, and educators, setting a precedent to inspire and drive excellence throughout the entire state.

Although the event will honor only a select few, the EDies Board of Directors wishes to convey our gratitude to the thousands of educators across New Hampshire who tirelessly dedicate themselves to the children of our state every day!

Our History

Our founders, Jane Lacasse, Fred Bramante, and Peggy McAllister at the 25th EDies.
For years, exemplary New Hampshire educators were recognized, but there was no event that brought everyone together under one roof. That all changed in 1992 when a group of like-minded “movers and shakers” met in the Merrimack Valley High School library to plan an awards ceremony to rival the Academy Awards. From this meeting the EDies were born.
